SHARKING will get under way in JUNE, with blue sharks first to show as waters warm, followed by makos, & threshers.  Best trip last year saw 5 fish at once in the slick, several pushing 350 lbs., requiring #50 lb. class“stand-up” tackle. SHARK-TUNA COMBO was again popular in June & early July.  Sept. & early Oct. found makos and bluedogs behind the draggers along the 43650 line. Try it, it’ll be an experience you won’t soon forget……

STELLWAGEN BANK COD, COD, COD,
POLLOCK, & HADDOCK

Mid-April through mid-May ’08 will again see the PROWLER fishing out of GREEN Harbor MARINA in MA for Stellwagen Bank Cod & Haddock.   Easy to get to, several trips already booked, as fishing was “great” last year with plenty of keeper sized fish. Regs. will allow 23” cod, no catch limit on 19” haddock.  How have we done the last few years?  Despite weather issues, averaged 9 scheduled trips with clients from 4/15 to 5/16, parties from 2 to 6 persons, boated 1,164 fish, (129 fish/trip, 21.5/man).  Clients went home with 11 wolffish, 76 haddock, and 452 cod (49 fish/trip). Wolffish ranged to 24 lbs., cod to 25 lbs., haddock to 8 lbs.  73 cod and 57 haddock were T/R for the ALS, in’08, with 1,845 cod & 65 career haddock now T/R.  Strictly light tackle action in relatively shallow water, best to make plans NOW as dates are limited.  If you’re looking for some great fishing, join us for a day and enjoy outstanding success....
